Hennabecca is the brain-child of two British women, Helena Sampson and Rebecca Walker. When they became mothers, and uninspired by the black & navy shoulder-bag and rucksack options to be found on the high street, they initially both took the route of customising attractive (but non-baby-orientated) tote bags and putting up with the inconvenience and extra rummaging which always seemed to be required due to lack of suitable internal pockets, sealable spaces for dirty clothing, phones hiding under nappies etc. With Rebecca's background in design and production, and with an eye to the beauty industry where multi-compartment vanity cases and cosmetics bags provided some inspiration, the pair decided to create the ideal baby-bag themselves. This bag would be a stylish tote; with a look which had to work equally well around town, at work-meetings or out with friends. Yet equally important was that the bag would make being out and about with children as simple as possible. So... plenty of room for damp and dirty stuff, bottles, snacks and toys; separate detachable compartments which can be used individually where table (or changing) space is limited; large zip pullers, fully-flat opening and use of semi-transparent mesh to make it easy to locate anything in the bag at a glance (or even at a feel); specific pockets for phone and keys... and an adjustable shoulder strap for those hands-free moments (and which could be removed when not needed.)
